Cop accused of assault granted bail

A lawman charged with assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm was released on bail yesterday when he appeared in the St Matthias Magistrates’ Court.

Constable Jason Padmore, 43, of Salvation Drive, Wotton, Christ Church, denied the two charges.

He was released on $1 000 bail with a surety for the assault charge and will appear at the District “B” Magistrates’ Court on February 27.

He was granted $3 000 bail with a surety for the assault occasioning actual bodily harm charge and will go to the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on February 28. (HLE)
