SHIVNARINE CHANDERPAUL reached another significant milestone on Thursday.
The durable left-hander became only the second West Indies batsman to score 10,000 Test runs on the fourth day of the third and final Digicel Test against Australia at Windsor Park in Dominica,
Chanderpaul achieved the milestone when he reached 14 and it was greeted by jubilant celebrations around the ground.
He fellows the legendary Brian Lara as the second West Indian to the landmark and became the 10th player in the history of the game to scale the 10,000-run barrier.
Chanderpaul eventually fell for 69 in the final over of the day, leaving West Indies with only a slim chance of achieving a target of 370 to pull off a series leveling victory,
The hosts closed the day on 173 for five.
