Head retires after 39 years

TEACHER Judy Sobers, who contributed over 39 years to the education system, said goodbye to a profession she loved and lived yesterday.
In the presence of family members, friends and well-wishers, Sobers was honoured through an entertaining and sentimental retirement function at the Clinketts Gardens, Half Moon Fort Primary School,?St Lucy.
She retired from the post of principal and also her teaching career on January 1.
The 56-year-old, who commenced her teaching career at Beulah Primary School, St Philip, at the age of 17, also taught at several schools such as St Stephen’s Primary, where she spent 24 years, and St Andrew’s Primary where she acted as principal.
