Blood, Mikey join the Army

THE SALVATION ARMY’S Christmas kettle drive received a boost when popular duo Blood and Mikey helped out in collecting donations at Super Centre, Warrens.
Surprised shoppers were thrilled to place their contributions in the kettles carried by the two singers who dominated the calypso season. Both Blood and Mikey showed their appreciation by expressing thanks with a few lines  of some of the better known Christmas tunes.
Major Denzil Walcott said the association with Mikey and Blood along with some other entertainers would help greatly in encouraging bigger contributions.
“The Salvation Army welcomes any assistance where we can make a more meaningful contribution to the less fortunate, particularly at this time,” said Walcott.
