The Starcom Reading Room was a popular place yesterday.
Just a short distance away from the main shopping centre in Bridgetown, where people were getting their Christmas and regular shopping on, 100 boys and girls were honing a skill that would help them through life.
The little ones and their parents packed the Starcom Network studio on River Road, St Michael, for two hours of adventure via the pages of books.
Liesel Daisley, who helped to coordinate the programme, said the Reading Room was Starcom Network Inc.’s way of giving back to the community.
The sessions started in June, with one being held every month, ending yesterday with the Christmas edition. Entertainer Natahlee and chief executive officer of Starcom Network Inc., Vic Fernandes, were the celebrity guests.
