Retired surgeon 75-year-old Errol Ricardo Walrond is today a knight.
He’s the only one accorded the honour of Knight of St Andrew in today’s Independence Honours.
His outstanding career spanned almost 40 years, much of it connected to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Faculty of Medicine of the University of the West Indies.
