Beautiful bookworm

“I sometimes feel like the odd one out,” says 28-year-old Rinet Briggs.
“I love to read and sometimes people look at you funny when you are always pulling out a book in your free time. I love books because I don’t like to be bored. I won’t read romance novels, I already know how they are going to end no matter how dramatic the beginning. Give me something exciting and I’ll read that,” she said, adding texture to her words with a mischievous smile.
This former Brooklynite is a second-year psychology student at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus.
“I think of psychology as a portal from where you can go anywhere and I like the idea of being in Human Resources because I think that would be a good fit for me.”
She says with her ever-present grin, “So this is just another step on the path to my goal.”
