Democratic Labour Party candidate for St John Mara Thompson has been warned that though she would be given no quarter on the St John election campaign trail, she would be treated like any other politician on the battle ground.
“We will deal with Mara with respect,” Opposition Leader Owen Arthur said at Edgecliff last night, at the Barbados Labour Party launch of its campaign for the January 20 polls, but added, “Mara will not be given any special privilege.”
Barbados Labour Party leader said the campaign was much more than who would represent St John, but would send a signal as to who Barbadians wanted to lead them. (MK)
