COB St Giles Conquerors raced away once more with the girls title of the James Wedderburn Zone of the National Primary Schools Athletics Championships (NAPSAC) but had to settle for second best in the boys division to first-time winners St George Primary School.

On Monday, at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex, St Giles were piloted to victory by the imposing Applewhaite twins, Tia and Tania.

The girls recorded a massive 237-point victory, 84 points more than Hilda Skeene who gained 153, and Hindsbury, who finished third with 101.

For the first time in the history of NAPSAC, St George Primary rose to the top of the pack led by the impressive Zachary Wall, who shattered three records when the boys finished with 171 points.  After a close battle throughout the day, St Giles were forced to settle for silver with 158.50 and Reynold Weekes Primary third with 133.
