I am writing to get in touch with a young lady I saw during a funeral service for at St Clement’s Anglican Church in St Lucy on April 19.
That’s where I saw the “gem of my life”.
She was attired in a lily-white dress, matching accessories; her hair was in a bun, and she wore lovely pearls and black wedges.
When she came up the gap, all the men’s heads turned. She is so lovely.
A man was overheard saying “that’s Barbara Ann – Looking good as usual.” I also understand that her mum recently passed away.
Christine, I would love to get to know her better.
I think she is a chef and works at a restaurant in St James.
I hope she sees my letter and will make contact with me through you.

I have taken note of your contact number and will pass it on if this young woman calls.
However, I think you may be even more successful if you take the time to make personal contact with her – possibly by identifying where she works and perhaps having lunch or dinner at the restaurant.
You can then ask if you may speak to the chef. How’s that?
I am not suggesting that you stalk this young woman, but be as gentlemanly as possible in your approach.
Give it a try, but if she does not respond in the positive, respect her wishes and move on.
