UPDATED: Canadian couple charged

A CANADIAN COUPLE has been arrested and charged with theft of almost $6 million dollars.
Barry Dueck, 63, and his wife Barbara, 59, of Coral Cliff, Maynards, St Peter were charged with stealing US$3 million.
They have also been charged with buying and selling foreign currency without the permission of the Central Bank of Barbados, two counts of operating an International Financial Service without a licence and holding out himself as a trader in securities.
Original charges had stated close to US$10 million, but a subsequent release from the Royal Barbados Police Force showed a reduced figure.
They are scheduled to appear in court today. (PR/SAT)
