Red House burning hot

The longer a fire simmers, the hotter it gets.
After simmering for 24 years, Red House finally emerged like a raging inferno to take the overall title at the Garrison School’s Inter-House Track and Field Championships this evening at the National Stadium.
Red burned hot with 755.5 points, winning by more than 150 points.
Defending champions Blue House fell to second place with 603 points, followed by Green (565), Yellow (477); Orange (447) and White with 437.5.
Among the outstanding performers were Darius Jones of White House; Yellow’s Erica Charles; Green’s Akilah Blackman and twin sisters Shaquana and Shaniqua Quintyne who competed for Blue House and Red House, respectively.
Ariel Jackson of Red House was the victrix ludorum and Jamar Harewood of Orange the victor ludorum.
Only one was record was broken by Blue’s Shanika Dottin in the open girls’ 3000 metres.
