RAMNARESH SARWAN is back with a bang.
Ignored by the West Indies selectors late last year for a tour of Sri Lanka because of fitness concerns, the former West Indies captain has shown over the past two weeks that he has lost none of his old touch.
Sarwan continued his build-up for the World Cup with a century against Kenya on Saturday in the first of two warm-up matches for the Caribbean side at the Premadasa Stadium in Sri Lanka.
Following scores of 75, 21 and 51 against Sri Lanka in a recent three-match limited-overs series, Sarwan made 123 off 125 balls that helped set up victory for West Indies by 61 runs.
West Indies made 253 for eight off their 50 overs and then restricted Kenya to 192 in 45.3 overs
Fast bowler Andre Russell grabbed four wickets and fellow pacer Kemar Roach took three. (HG)
