Bailiffs take over

Another?airport store was closed yesterday for non-payment of rent.
Bailiffs from Creditel Collections chained and padlocked Aunt Paulie’s Gifts and Floral Inc. and placed distraint notices on the door indicating that rent in the amount of $129 150 was due. This represented $69 853 for 17 months and 11 days’ rent and $59 296 for 14 months and 20 days’ use of occupation.
The notice further indicated that if the monies were not paid to Grantley Adams International Airport Inc. the goods and chattel would be sold within ten days,
Only last Thursday, Creditel Collections padlocked Travel Essentials Inc. for $217 000 in outstanding rent owed over a 34-month period.
