Missing Germain

LAST?THURSDAY ten-year-old Germain Jackman left his Redman’s Village, St Thomas home, bound for vacation classes at Deacons Primary School. But up to yesterday evening little Germain had not returned.
His dad Samuel Moore, 49, with whom he lives, said that since Germain left “to attend lessons” and did not come back, he hadn’t slept. “I hope nothing bad has happened to him.”
Germain’s mother Lana Jackman, 31, of Hill Road, St Michael, was equally distraught. Jackman too said she had not got a good night’s sleep since learning her son had gone missing, and had busied herself driving around  looking for him.
On top of that she has been putting up missing posters of her son around the area – up until late yesterday when the DAILY?NATION visited both parents.
Germain would have been taking advantage of extra vacation classes his school was offering in preparation for the Common Entrance Examination on May 4 when he last left home. Now with his disappearance his parents can do little more than keep looking and hope to find their baby.
Mum Jackman remembers Germain as playful, but keeping to himself and not laughing very often.
“He had to know you to talk to you.”
Jackman said she could not remember exactly the last time she had seen her son, but recalled that they had spent the day buying clothes and  driving around.
“I want anybody who has seen him, or know where he is, to come forward. Even if it was just a glimpse, or if it was days ago, anything will help,” she cried.
Dad Moore said while Germain was mannerly, he was also a “troublemaker and a manipulator, even at his tender age”, and that this was the third time he had gone missing – though never for this length of time.
But he is appealing for assistance from the public, and urging whoever might know where little Germain is to bring his son back home.
Anyone with any information may contact Jackman at 268-3999; Moore at 266-0716; or the nearest police station.
