These are the words that best exemplify Kirk Edwards.
In his first match for this country since being sent home from Trinidad and Tobago before the start of last month’s NAGICO Super50, Edwards was the chief architect behind Barbados getting the upper hand over Combined Campuses and Colleges in their regional first-class cricket clash at the 3Ws Oval.
In response to the CCC’s 269, Barbados batted doggedly to 356 for nine declared, built on Edwards’ 109 and Kraigg Brathwaite’s marathon knock of 91.
This was further proof that the 29-year-old Edwards may be the best batsman in the country.
