Cops crack crimes

Police in the southern and Bridgetown Divisions continue to make significant headway in crimes which occurred between December 2010 and August 2011.
A release from the Police Public Relations Officer Inspector David Welch in a release today said that Michael Anthony Brathwaite, 36 years, and Adrian Andre Cox, 19 years, both of Parish Land, Christ Church were arrested and charged for a number of offences.
Brathwaite and Cox appeared before the Oistins Magistrate Court and were both remanded until August 31, 2011.
Anthony Akeem Rashad Knight, 17, of Dayrells Hill, Christ Church and Kishmar Shaquille Alleyne, 18, of 1st Ave, Alleyne Land, Passage Road, St. Michael, were also arrested and charged for offences.
According to the statement, they appeared at the District A Magistrate Court today where they both pleaded guilty to one count of burglary each, and were sentenced to 18 months in prison each.  They were remanded to re appear on the remaining charges on October 20 2011. (PR)
