It was the first day of December and all through the hall the songs of Christmas filled the air.
The occasion was The Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols, featuring the Cavite Chorale in the Roy Marshall Teaching Complex at the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies.
While patrons enjoyed a star-studded cast, they had the added benefit of seeing and hearing soca bigwig Mikey, in a much softer role, singing This Christmas and Hark The Herald, as part of the group G-Syndicate.
The Clarion Singers, listed on the programme along with G-Syndicate as featured performers, also did not disappoint, offering patrons a masterful performance of Christmas traditionals, Feliz Navidad and We Three Kings.
