Cash lure

A LEADING RETAILER is putting cash into Barbadians’ pocket – literally.
Courts Barbados Ltd has been sending its loyal customers $500 to $1 000 cheques which are redeemable at the store for cash or product.
The grand gesture, which started on Monday, has seen hundreds of Barbadians descend on the company’s five locations to collect the cash.
The response has been so enthusiastic, that at one store where the cash reportedly ran low, customers waited patiently until more money came.
