The supersonic boom of the Concorde drowned out the cling and clang of cocktail glasses and light chatter at the Concorde Experience last week, as a host of guests celebrated with British Airways.
The cocktail reception wrapped up a six-month-long celebration of British Airways flying to Barbados and guests were once again taken back to an era of glamorous supersonic travel when Concorde flew to Barbados, with a simulation of its approach and landing here projected on to the side of the retired Concorde G-BOAE Aircraft.
BA officials flew out from London for the occasion, and head of Commercial Gatwick, Colm Lacy, exchanged gifts with Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy.
