Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler is one man in Dr DeLisle Worrell’s corner as the Opposition party ramps up its calls for him to resign.
Furthermore, Sinckler has called the political attacks on the Governor of the Central Bank “dangerous” because they also serve to destroy the image of the Central Bank and the professionals who work there.
His comments came last night as Sinckler responded to questions from the media and the public during the live airing of the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s The People’s Business.
“Both Prime Minister [Freundel] Stuart and myself have repeatedly said it . . . and I will repeat it here: I have absolute confidence in DeLisle Worrell as Governor of the Central Bank.
“I have absolute confidence in his intelligence. I have absolute confidence in his integrity, and therefore I don’t have to repeat that every time the Opposition goes on a frolic,” the Minister of Finance said.
