Broken dreams, says Arthur

Opposition?Leader Owen Arthur says it’s a shame that Government has allocated near $600 000 to be spent on the Commission of Enquiry into The Alexandra School affair.
Speaking before a large crowd at the corner of Deacons Road last night at a meeting in support of St Michael North-West candidate Gregory Nicholls, Arthur said: “It is a let-down that we are going to Parliament on Tuesday to spend $598 000 on a commission that is not needed. I feel Freundel Stuart should be spending that money himself,” he said.
The former Prime Minister said the Barbadian dream of excellence and what constituted good governance were being shattered by incompetence. (MK)
