Novice sweeps field

Newcomer?Nick Harrison stamped his authority on the Open Class by making a clean sweep it as the Radio Operated Auto Racers’ second racing season reached its halfway stage last Sunday at the Garfield Sobers Raceway, Wildey.
Harrison, of Bajan Services fame, won all three of his races at the controls of the well prepared Mugen MBX 6 R.
He forced Andrew “Scooby” Smith, with his Mustor’s Wholesale Liquors Team Xray XB 808, and Richard Gamble using a similar machine to settle for second and third places respectively in all their races.
The Modified Class also saw Scott Foster, controlling his Hot Bodies D8, recording a hat-trick of victories.
Although facing serious competition from Robin Mustor with his Big Boyz Toyz/Mustor’s Wholesale Liquors Team Xray XB 808, Matthew “Left Ball” Whitney guiding the Wadman Brothers Mugen MBX 6R, and Ryan “Gowah” Hill directing his Team Agama, Foster was able to excel through his consistent steering skills.
Racing will continue today at the same venue at 2 p.m. (EZS/PR)
