Drugs seized off Needhams Point

An operation involving the police, the Coast Guard and a section of the RSS has resulted in the seizure of drugs off Needhams Point in St Michael.
Three Barbadians and one Vincentian are now in police custody.
The law enforcement officiels netted 14 large taped packages of cannibis, weighing 825 pounds after they intercepted a go-fast boat at sea 9.7 nautical miles off Needhams Point yesterday around 8,20 p.m.
According to a press release this morning from the police, one of the Barbadians received a gunshot injury to his right ankle is currently in hospital.
The officials also seized a 15-foot boat.
