Barbados shut out Guyana

BARBADOS are  a perfect 4-0 with  a second century  at the Americas Federation Of  Netball Association Championships  at the Jean Pierre  Sports Complex in Trinidad and Tobago.
Barbados humbled Guyana 112-13 as  all of the players except Shonette Bruce – who played on Monday night  – got some court time.
The Barbadians started with Laurel Browne, Rieah Holder, Sabreena Smith, Latonia Blackman at centre, Kizzy Marville, Shanice Rock and RheAnn Niles for the first half.

Holder scored 11 from 16 during her stint on court while Browne, who played for three quarters, continued her accurate shooting with 47 goals from 50 attempts  at goal shooter.
At the half, Samantha Browne came in at centre, Damisha Croney went  to wing attack and  16-year-old rookie  Shonica Wharton  came in at goal shooter, scoring 35 from 40.
When Laurel Browne went to the bench for  the final quarter, Nikita Piggott scored 19 from  20 at goal attack.
Angeline McCarthy  led Guyana with eight from ten. Guyana trailed 31-3, 58-4 and 87-7.
In the other matches, Trinidad and Tobago defeated Grenada  78-29; Jamaica beat Canada 79-19 and the United States left Bermuda winless  64-28. (SAT)
