It is over to Prime Minister Freundel Stuart to chair and settle the wages dispute between LIME?and the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU).
That’s because after nearly four hours of intense negotiations last night at the Warrens Government Complex office of Minister of Labour Dr Esther Byer-Suckoo, the two sides failed to come to an agreement.
Byer-Suckoo, who chaired the talks, was disappointed she was not able to broker an agreement.
“I came here hopeful, based on where we left off on Tuesday, because when you look at it, it is still possible for us to get to where we want to. But there were a few sticking points,” she said.
The minister said both sides had plenty riding on the outcome of the negotiations.
