Marriott boss says Bajans can do job

The Barbados Hospitality Institute at PomMarine Hotel is producing graduates who can hold their own in the business anywhere in the world.
That is according to area vice-president of Marriott International, Andrew Houghton, who said Barbados has “a wonderful group of people who are highly educated” in the business of hospitality.
“We, as Marriott, with 3 700 hotels around the world, look for this type of talent and we intend to grow talent from this hotel.”
He was speaking during a reception marking the first anniversary of Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Hastings, Christ Church, Wednesday night.
