Trainer Simpson upbeat about Gold Cup

SINCE TAKING out his training licence Jonathon Simpson has been steadily making significant strides into this game.
Although enjoying some good days, Saturday will be his biggest racing day as he saddles three horses in the Southern Caribbean’s most prestigious horse race – the 31st Sandy Lane Barbados Gold Cup.
Simpson will saddle Graeme Hill, Little Man Arran and Giovedi in Race 9, the pattern event on the ten-race card at the Garrison.
“I’m getting very excited. All my horses are doing exceptionally well. Little Man Arran and Graeme Hill both worked well together and were very strong at the end of their gallop,” Simpson told MIDWEEK SPORT after his horses had gone through their final preparations.
