PERSONS?with a net worth of over $10 million and retired staff of regional institutions now have the green light to invest here as Government expands its special entry permit scheme.
Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Senator Darcy Boyce told the Senate yesterday that the new measure would earn Barbados foreign exchange and improve the property market.
Boyce, who has responsibility for Energy, Telecommunications, Immigration and Invest Barbados, said the scheme had also been broadened to cater for the (foreign) parents of Barbadian citizens so that they could come and live with their children.
“It is really targeting people with high skills, entrepreneurs who have done well elsewhere and are retired or people who have made it rich and come to Barbados.
