Blackman And Gollop students do well in exam

Students of the Blackman And Gollop Primary School – the island’s newest Primary school – were able to settle down and produce some excellent grades in the Common Entrance Examination.
Class teachers of the first crop of students to sit the 11-Plus Examination said their charges, including top scoring Chelsea Niles and Daniel Glasgow, overcame the challenges of their new environment. The school opened its doors last September.
 Niles who scored 98 in mathematics and 91 in English with an A in composition will be going to Harrison College in September. Glasgow who scored 97 in mathematics and 85 in English with a C in composition will be entering the St Michael School.
Teachers Herbert Millar and Jacqueline Jones-Miller said that the students meshed well together after the amalgamation of the South District Primary School and St David’s Primary School.
