THE favoured pair of Chris Armstrong and Wayne Clarke failed to make good use of their first route position and finished third in last weekend’s Chefette April Safari.
After topping the leaderboard with a mere 75 penalty points, the pair, who won last month’s Chefette March Safari, slipped to third spot in their Toyota Hilux and ended with 751 penalties.
The winners were defending champion driver Leslie Alleyne and Chris O’Neal, who chalked up 622 penalties in a Huzier Ltd Mahindra Pik-Up.
Second place went to Ryan Corbin and Dustin Edwards in the Corbin’s Catering Services/
Mahogany Ridge/Crane & Equipment/SDRR Toyota Hilux, who totalled 744.
