The main entrance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) will be temporarily on Saturday at 8 p.m. until Monday.
According to an official at that institution, the closure is to facilitate the resurfacing of the road area at the entrance.
“We have scheduled this work for completion over the weekend and after visiting- hours on Saturday, so that the impact is at a minimum; and we anticipate that the area will be ready for reopening by Monday morning,” Communications Specialist at the QEH, Carolyn Williams-Gayle, explained.
During this period, both pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be diverted to the private entrance, where persons will be assisted by security personnel.
The administration at the QEH has apologised for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.
