Almost 500 pounds of cannibis have been seized in a drug exercise which took place yesterday at the Crane in St Philip.
One man is now assisting police in that investigation.
Police today confirmed the exercise took place around 2:30 p.m. and was led by the Drug Squad, and assisted by the Coast Guard and an section of the RSS.
The drugs, which were seized when the boat ran aground, were contained in three polythene bags and six taped packages.
Two men ran and one Barbadian was held. Police are now looking for the other.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch said this was the first successful interception for the year. (CM)
