St Barnabas in KO semi

Pine Hill St Barnabas have advanced to the Barbados Netball Association’s senior knock-out semi-final after defeating Guardian General Pride of Villa 42-30 at the Netball Stadium last Friday night.
Goal shoot Laurel Browne led St Barnabas’ charge, scoring 31 from 35 attempts while goal attack Sheniqua Thomas netted 11 from 23.
St Barnabas also tasted success in Division 5 after defeating Friendship Stars 36-14.
Goal shoot Zakiya Kirton scored 35 from 53 and goal attack Tiffany Morris one from two.
In other games, Almond Lions had no problems against Lucky Horseshoe Police Sports Club in their Division 6 encounter, winning 31-7.
Lions goal shoot Sheniqua Thomas scored 17 from 23, goal attack Shanika Patterson 12 from 22 and goal shoot Shareece Williams four from two.
In another Division 6 game, S.D Fantasy Ballers had an easy time against Friendship Stars with a 34-15 victory.
Goal shoot Charlene Prescod scored 19 from 24 and goal attack Keryn Clarke 12 from 16.
In a division five contest, Brydens Anchor defeated Guardian General Pride of Villa 20-13. Brydens goal shooters Mia Butcher scored 11 from 14 and Michelle Rogers six from 11, while goal attack Margaret Spooner converted three from seven attempts. Shottas United demolished Unity Stars 38-17 in their Division 5 game.
In Division 4, King’s Park won 24-19 against BRC Welch Rovers and Phoenix Gems breezed through Bico Delight 35-24.
In last Wednesday’s action, Fusion Netball Club advanced to the Intermediate 5 and 6 knockout final after defeating St Barnabas 27-23.
Fusion goal attack Nicole Harris was on the ball, scoring 19 from her 20 attempts while goal attack Kheshania Forde contributed with six from her 13 attempts and goal shoot Linda Waldron two from her five.
In the senior knockout, Hot Spurs were victorious against Structural Systems Silver Raiders 39-32.
Spurs goal attack Rieah Holder scored 27 out of her 31 attempts and goal shoot Shanise Jarvis netted 12 from her 21.
Goal shoot for Raiders Faye Shepherd was the main force to be reckoned with, scoring 28 from 41 attempts.
Division 6 saw Shottas United showing no mercy against Boscobel, defeating them 52-7.
Shottas goal attack Shanice Jackman played well for her 34 from 46 attempts and goal shoot Katrina Fergusson scored 18 from 33.
BMA St Marks won comfortably against Market Hill Eva Fresh Ballers in Division four, winning 38-22 and in Division 3 Spooners Hill edged out Unity Stars by 28-27. (ML)
