Day for our heroes

Barbados celebrated National Heroes Day yesterday with a number of community activities.
However, it was on Sunday that the commemoration of these great Barbadians began with a national church service at the Western Light Church of The Nazarene, Oxnards, St James.
Apart from an inspiring message, a display of the National Heroes was mounted at the church to remind those who attended who our Heroes are and why we celebrate them.
Not only the adults took note of the colourful display, but some of the children also took the time to view and learn about our National Heroes. (RL)
