That’s exactly what some Barbadians are saying about the recent days and nights.
On social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, many are complaining about the heat.
An official at the Barbados Meteorological Services told NATIONNews today that the heat is the result of a slack pressure gradient caused by a Tropical Storm in the mid Atlantic.
The official said this is causing very light winds in the island.
“People are feeling hot because the winds are very light. Because of the high moisture content in the air and the light winds, when you perspire it wouldn’t evaporate as quickly,” he explained.
The air temperature is currently 30.3 degrees Celsius.
While many will have to contend with the heat for now, the official said there should be some respite over the weekend when increasing winds are expected.
