In Monday’s DAILY NATION there was an article in which Managing Director of Crane Resorts, Paul Doyle, was quoted on the current difficulties faced by Essex-based Harlequin Property and the ongoing investigation by the British Financial Authorities into the stalled development at Merricks.
The online version of this article, published on NATIONNews.com carried a photo of Doyle without the comments he had made to the newspaper.
A statement from the Crane today stated: “This occurrence might have conveyed the impression that Mr Doyle is in someway linked to Harlequin Property. This statement therefore serves to assure and make it clear that neither Mr. Doyle nor Crane Resorts, are in any way connected to Harlequin Property or the resort development at Merricks in Barbados”.
