It’s now history that the National Stadium won’t be ready to stage the annual Barbados Secondary Schools’ Athletic Championships this school term.
And as news broke yesterday that the National Primary Schools’ Athletic Championships may not be held either, work at the island’s premier track and field facility, however, was still continuing around the clock.
When the MIDWEEK NATION visited the Stadium yesterday, it was clear that there was a lot of work to be done on several sections, including the track and staging areas for the field events.
