Awful mess

Owners of businesses on Baxters Road and members of the public traversing the area had to endure two days of sewage backed up onto the road.
From Thursday afternoon the staff from the Barbados Water Authority’s (BWA) Bridgetown Water Treatment Plant had to drain sewers after the sewage started to back up.
Some business owners lamented lost sales while others complained of the unbearable stench.
