FORMER PRIME MINISTER Owen Arthur has called on the private sector to put their own plan for economic recovery on the table.
And he has also criticised the banking sector for putting a freeze on credit to temporary Government workers.
Noting that Barbados was facing a challenge of unprecedented proportions, Arthur said what was missing was a planned agenda and strategy for growth and development.
“It is not enough for the private sector of Barbados to be called upon to comment and give its views on Government’s own programme dealing with Government-owned affairs. Barbados’ growth and development will have to essentially be private sector growth and development.”
Bring plan, says Arthur
