With six of seven preliminary matches completed for most of the 16 teams, only four points separate the top two in each zone of the 27th Annual Sir Garfield Sobers International Schools’ Cricket Competition.
To make matters even more interesting in Zone A, three teams are in close contention. Combermere lead with 24 points, while Foundation School and Vishnu Boys Hindu College both have 20.
In Zone B, Powergen Penal have 24 points, Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) have 20 and are being chased by Pinelands, four points behind QPCC.
Final round matches take place today as teams fight for places in either the semi-finals or play-off matches which are scheduled for Monday.
The final will be played on Tuesdays at Kensington Oval. (PR)
