Five charged with drugs

Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and charged Barbadian national Andrew Reron Holder with a number of drug offences.
The 32-years-old of Smith Land, Bridge Cot, St George for the offences have to answer charges for possession of half pound of cannabis, possession with intent to supply  cannabis. trafficking cannabis, importation of cannabis, possession of one kilo of cocaine, possession with intent to supply  cocaine, trafficking cocaine and importation of cocaine.
A release from the police today stated that Holder arrived by air from Trinidad last Saturday, cleared Customs and was intercepted by Police on the outside of the Arrivals Hall.  He and his luggage were taken to the Oistins Police Station where a search of his luggage revealed the illegal drugs.
Police stated that further investigations also led to the arrest of other persons. They are Trinidadian Mariska Chartar, 25, Vishnu Ramlochan, 41, also a Trinidadian national and Ramon Griffith, 27, of Dunlow Lane, St Michael.
They were all jointly charged for trafficking in cannabis, trafficking in cocaine, acts preparatory for the purpose of trafficking cannabis; and acts preparatory for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
The four are expected to appear at the District B Magistrate Court tomorrow. (CM/PR)
