Minister without portfolio with responsibility for sport, Natalie Neita Headley, says the Government stands behind Jamaica’s athletes and value the significant contributions they make toward engendering national pride. However, she has reiterated the importance of integrity in sport, fairplay, and the maintenance of a doping free sporting environment. Headley has stressed that Jamaica continues to maintain a rigorous anti-doping programme. She says the rigor of this programme is not new and it is clearly effective as it is from Jamaica’s own testing protocol that the adverse findings in these A-Samples have been revealed.
