WHAT IS THE significance of this cross on the Spring Garden Highway?
Is it a symbol for a religious entity or a sign of respect for the many people who have lost their lives on this stretch of road?
There were rumours of another cross placed somewhere along Salters, St George. However, a SATURDAY SUN team failed to spot it on Thursday.
Whatever the reason, the cross on the Spring Garden Highway continues its vigil, looking over the thousands of vehicles which pass along that highway on most days. (CA)
