CLICO Policyholders Group (CPG) head, Peter Permell, said yesterday that the group had made two “very crucial proposals” to the Government on Monday, one of which will satisfy the guarantees made to policyholders without causing financial stress on the economy.
The proposals were discussed with the ministerial team headed by Food Production Minister Vasant Bharath, which was picked by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to deal with the CLICO issue.
In a Press release yesterday, Permell said the proposals will next be discussed when the groups meet again tomorrow.
Contacted for further comment on the release, Permell said there was little to add. (Trinidad Express)
