Budget soon says Sinckler

Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler says he is ready to present the 2011/2012 Financial Statements And Budgetary Proposals and he will do so by next month.
Speaking to the media shortly after the launch of a VISA platinum reward credit card by the RBC Royal Bank (Barbados) Limited at the Concorde Experience Wednesday night, Sinckler said a date has not yet been set but preparations were going “very well” and it would “definitely” be presented before Grand Kadooment on August 1.
“We have been having consultations. We met with the Bankers’ Association [Wednesday] and the Chamber of Commerce, and we have been getting some excellent solutions,” he said.
“So we feel reasonably confident. We have some more meetings to go and I am ready to do the budget. I am just waiting on the parliamentary calendar to indicate to me what is the most appropriate date to move ahead, but I am ready.”
