The world governing body for football, FIFA, says long-standing Barbadian administrator Lisle Austin remains provisionally red-carded from the sport.
And dismissing Austin’s claim that he gained an injunction from a court in The Bahamas last week to resume his role as acting CONCACAF?president, FIFA’s secretary general Jerome Valcke declared Alfredo Hawit as the rightful acting CONCACAF?president.
In a letter to CONCACAF’s member federations and its executive committee, Valcke noted that FIFA?recognized the decision to put Hawit in charge. (EZS/AP)
