Houses at Greens have owners!

Esther?Byer-Suckoo has pulled no strings nor has given any “special favours” to those who have acquired houses at the Greens project in St George.
Suckoo, the Member of Parliament for St George South, has dismissed accusations from the Opposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) that there are just four people – some of whom are supporters of the ruling Democratic Labour party – in the 51 houses built by Government.
Just before heading off over the weekend to an International Labour Organisation (ILO)?meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, Suckoo said that more than half of the houses were occupied.
“In Greens, 51 houses have been constructed, 30 are occupied and all of them are owned. Some of them, the persons have their keys but they are waiting on the cupboards to be installed. Some of them are in various stages of getting their conveyances done and that is it.
 “All of the houses have been allocated. They are people who would walk around and say they have vacant houses up there and they can put some of the fire victims in them. All of those houses in Greens are gone,” she said.
