Barbadian Lisle Austin is back at the helm of CONCACAF, the region’s football confederation.
Austin proudly declared yesterday that he had resumed his position as interim CONCACAF chief, after filing a high court injunction on Friday in the Bahamas, where the sporting body is registered as a non-profit organization.
Austin had been slapped with a “provisional” ban from all football activities within CONCACAF, but the court injunction changed this.
And the Barbados Football Association (BFA) couldn’t be happier, even though it expects a backlash from CONCACAF very soon.
