IT DEFINITELY WASN’T as easy as ABC.
All Stars needed an all-star performance from Shonkeel Wharton to get past ABC 3-2, on their way to capturing the men’s title in the Banks Barbados International Hockey Festival at Kensington Oval on Saturday night.
In what was undoubtedly the most exciting and memorable match of the entire tournament, All Stars were forced to claw their way back from a 2-0 deficit en route to copping their second title in three years.
The signal for an intriguing contest came from the opening whistle, with both sides showing their aggressive intent.
